launching a SYMPHONY album IN 2026

client: VUVIVO

VUVIVO conceptualized and commissioned a six movement original symphonic composition based on VUVIVO’s founder, Zach Elliott’s book “Now I see”. This beautiful and complex music piece tells a story of ascension from the platonic cave to heavenly adoration that produces transformation and celebration.

In 2026 the time had come to release the symphony into the world and I was contacted to help expand the cover design made by Josh Nadeau into a full album design, and a social media campaign.

The challenge was set. How to attract a contemporary audience into listening classical music. And classical music not by the famous composers like Mozart or Beethoven, but a new, original piece created by relatively unknown artists.

And because of production timing hurdles, we had around 3 weeks to make it happen.

brand strategy: josh nadeau’s Graphic universe implementation as a journey.

Adding complementary typography pairings and graphic elements while staying faithful to josh’s visual style.

The concept of Journey kept emerging through out our conversations and research.

  • From book to symphony

  • From the platonic cave to the heavens

  • From USA to Czech Republic to record the album

And finally

  • From late modernity to classic music sensibility

digital launch campaing: spotify, social media, email, sms

Because of the challenge we were facing: very low consumption of “famous” classic music, let alone new original compositions. This was a chance to flip the tables in terms of my approach to marketing.

So, Instead of:

announce → promote → promote → promote

This project needed a Narrative Release Structure:

experience/recognition → naming → revealing → invitation/propagation

Instead of:

product → explanation → purchase

Keep the project in the mode of:

poetry → art → encounter

The word that serves as title of the symphony

It’s a word in German that English can’t fully translate. The word: Sehnsucht creates cultural gravity. A mystery that allows me to turn the project from:

A symphony release

into

An exploration of a human concept.

Which is infinitely more shareable. That pivot was the strategic heart of the campaign. You were managing, tone, narrative continuity, audience psychology, conceptual integrity, sequencing.

instagram carousels proved to be specially successful. they managed to 10x the amount of views normally achieved by regular posts without boosting.

reels as reshareable objects, not explanatory content. Text that feels like a thought and not just copy.

Email Strategy

Role of email in this launch:

• Establish confidence and care / Clarify what matters now / Guide people step by step, not all at once.

Email Sequencing:

• Email #1 (public-facing): “Listen”: album availability, no homework

• Email #2 (community / event): Gather / celebrate

• Email #3 (insiders): Interpret: story, film, deeper context

Key rule:

No mixed CTAs (“Call to Action”) in a single email.

sms Strategy

Principle:

SMS is relational by default and intrusive if mishandled. Correct framing: SMS is not a funnel. SMS is proximity to the moment.

Language shift:

• From: “Sign up / pre-save”. To: “Walk closely with the release week”. “Be among the first to hear”

Use case:

Inner-circle updates / Release-week presence / Limited, intentional communication

results VUVIVO reported:

Streaming results (Spotify)

~1600 streams in first 3 days

To put it on context, in classical music : ~100 streams/day is considered strong for a new classical music album or composition.

the campaign appears to have activated listeners. Conversion after Engagement.

Engagement (Instagram)

~800 followers before the campaign to 1250 followers during the first week of the album launch.

During the campaign, non busted views grew from ~250 to ~300 to ~2000 to ~2500

takeaways:

  1. Narrative sequencing (recognition → naming → encounter → invitation) can outperform scattered promotion.

  2. Language as entry point to art. People engaged first with the idea (Sehnsucht) before engaging with the music.

  3. Separating calls-to-action over time and across platforms (including email and sms) improves clarity (listen first, share later worked better than stacking actions)

  4. Creative direction added structure to the launch. The project moved from scattered announcements to a coherent narrative rollout.

  5. Text-led storytelling can carry an artistic launch. Strong writing anchored the campaign more than visuals or production.
